Day twenty: Haunted house
Idk why I picked Reaper for this i had a good reason but i forgot
Y/F/N means ‘Your Friend’s Name’
Down the street there was a house, a house no one lived in. And because no one has lived in it for almost five years, the local teenagers started a rumour.
Soon, everyone believed that the house was haunted. You, however, didn’t believe it. (Just because a house hasn’t been sold in a while, didn’t mean it was haunted)
“If you’re so sure it’s not haunted, then why don’t you take a look yourself?” your friend teased you. You furrowed your eyebrows, “Because I shouldn’t have to prove myself? So what if I don’t believe some stupid rumour.”
Y/F/N rolled their eyes, “Well I think you do believe the stories,”
You glared at them, “Can you just shut up about the stupid house?! Why are you trying to push me into believing some made up story?”. Eventually you stood up, flinging your bag over your shoulder and walking back home.
You didn’t know why they were trying to get you anywhere near the house. Sure, you didn’t believe the rumours but that doesn’t mean you were going to break into what might be someone’s property.
However, your ‘friend’ kept pestering you about it.
Aaand… That’s how you ended up in front of the house. They texted you, daring you to go into the house with them. You knew they weren’t going to shut up about it so you followed their orders.
However, just as you arrived at the house, your friend was nowhere in sight…
It was cold outside and you were supposed to be inside, where it was warm, watching a good tv show or something.
Yet here you were.
After five minutes, you gave up but just as you were about to move, the door opened.
“Hey Y/N,” your friend sweetly said, “It’s safe in here.”
Something about them seemed off…
“Y/F/N? Are you okay?” you asked, worriedly looking at them. “I’m fine, why wouldn’t I be?” Y/F/N smiled, “Come in, Y/N.”
You had a bad feeling about this but… something about them pulled you towards the house. As if you had to go…
As you moved closer to the door, they kept walking deeper into the house. It was pitch dark inside and you soon lost track of your friend. As soon as you entered the house, the door slammed shut behind you, scaring you.
However, you had to find Y/F/N… The floorboards creaked under your feet as you found the kitchen.
You also found your friend. The only problem is that, well, they weren’t alive. What killed them was right in front of you.
It was huge… terrifying…
It chuckled, “Heh, more food…”. It stalked towards you and no matter how hard you tried to move, you couldn’t.
As it stood right in front of you, it suddenly caressed your cheek, “No…”
“I think I’ll keep you…”
