Junkrat loves fireworks. Explosions and colourful lights – what more could he ask for? But because he was sick, he couldn’t go watch them.
You actually felt sorry for him. So, while he was sleeping you opened the curtains of the bedroom. That way, he could see them when the explosions would wake him up.
When he did, he yelled: “Darl’ come ‘ere!”. Rushing into the bedroom, visibly worried, you asked, “What’s wrong?”. “Come watch the fireworks with me!” he excitedly laughed.
Smiling, you joined him under the blanket as he threw his arm around your shoulder.
He was used to loud noises, so he wouldn’t mind going to watch them. But as it was almost your one year anniversary, he wanted to spend some time with you.
Your apartment had a balcony, where the two of you were sitting.
He held you close as you both watched the fireworks light up the sky. He suddenly kissed your forehead and muttered, “I’m glad I’m here with you…”.
He promised to spend the night at your place, but of course he’d start working. When the fireworks started, they made a lot of noise. “Y/N, could you close the window?” he asked. But nothing happened. “Y/N?” he repeated, before looking at you.
You were standing near the open window, your eyes focused on the fireworks. Jack sighed, maybe he shouldn’t be working right now.
He walked over to you and hugged you from behind. He softly kissed your cheek and rested his chin on your shoulder, making you sigh happily.
